about
This song is to laugh at myself and also, to reflect the struggles artists face when they go to talent shows. It is a very basic ironic song about the name "Talent, Ted" and not about being "talented". Also, aside from the intro and the outro, the voices during the song (Zoe Dee and myself) are voices in my head, not the judges. It represent the lack of self confidence we often have toward our talent.
lyrics
Talent, Ted
You are not a star
You won't make it very far
"oh no"
You have an accent
We can hear it in your breath
"I know, but still got to do it"
Your old, your lame
Your music's all the same
Don't waste your time
Untalented Talent, Ted
But my name is Talent, Ted
You are not a star
You won't make it very far
"I know, you already said it"
You sound like a cat screwing with claws in its back
"you know, so you must have done it"
We were once lame
And we are so ashamed
That's why we're here
We're not talented
So, your not Talent, Ted
Cause I'm Talent, Ted
If I'm Talent, Ted
Your not Talent, Ted
My name's Talent, Ted
And I'm Talented
If I ain't Talent, Ted
Then who the fuck is Talent, Ted?
My name's Talent, Ted
And I'm Talented
If I ain't Talented
Still Talent, Ted
